The new trend that is now again in fashion from the 90s is the trend of Denim Dungarees. Denim fabric is everyone’s favourite because it can paired up with almost anything and is the safest option to go for whenever you are planning for an outing and are in no mood to experiment but still want to put up an awesome outfit. The same thing can be said about denim dungarees as well. Girls have not only been wearing denim dungarees with casual tees but bralettes, sports bra, check shirts, plain shirts, tank tops and whatnot. It’s not just about pairing it up with different tops but also about creating different looks using the same apparel so that every time you wear it, it looks entirely different than the last time. This is the best thing about some clothing, you can style them in a variety of ways and still not get bored with them. After all, what is fashion without some experimentation and your personal touch, right?
To share my styling tips while creating outfits and my love for this new trend, I decided to come up with this post about styling denim dungaree in 4 ways using the stuff that I already had in my wardrobe. Let’s check out the outfits below:
Look 1: The One with the very-common stripped top
I have kept this look very casual and funky keeping in mind the wardrobe of every girl. In this outfit, I’m wearing a horizontally stripped top with my Old Navy dungaree, Sonata watch, white shoes and carrying a tribal print backpack that I bought from Sarojini Nagar Market a year ago. These bags can actually carry a lot of stuff and go with all the outfits. Almost everything that I’m wearing is bought from Sarojini Nagar Market and is very affordable. One of the reasons why I’ve started this fashion blog is to show girls that fashion is affordable and it’s not just about wearing expensive branded clothes but knowing how and what to wear to look good.
Outfit Details:
- Old Navy Denim Dungaree (Bought for Rs. 300 from Sarojini Nagar Market, Delhi)
- White Shoes(Amazon.in)
- Sonata Watch (Flipkart)
- Tribal print backpack (Bought for Rs. 350 from Sarojini Nagar Market, Delhi)
- Stripped Top (Bought for Rs. 200 from Sarojini Nagar Market, Delhi)
Look 2: The One with the trending bralette
In this look, I’m wearing a front criss-cross bralette, a thick velvet choker and my truffle collection flats with my dungaree. With this outfit, I’m carrying this super classy leather backpack by Dressberry and I’ve finished the look with my Timex watch.
If you are a fashion enthusiast, then you must know about the latest trend of bralettes. These bralettes are available in a lot of designs but the designs that I would suggest you go for while wearing a dungaree is either a front criss-cross design or the cages one. Other designs, like the pyramid bralette, just won’t go with it. The best thing about the criss-cross bralette is that you don’t necessarily have to wear a net or transparent top to flaunt it. You can wear it with any deep neck top or as a top without making it look too much for college.

- Truffle Collection Flats (Jabong)
- Timex Watch (Flipkart)
- Dressberry Backpack (Myntra)
- Front criss-cross bralette (Amazon)
- Thick Velet Choker (Spoyl account: Sale Sale Sale)
Look 3: The One with the check shirt
I experimented a little with my casual dungaree and got this outfit. In this one, I’ve worn the same bralette (and you are free to wear either a spaghetti top or sports bra inside instead of the bralette) with my check shirt and the same white shoes from the first look. A loose shirt just wouldn’t go with the dungaree so I suggest you tie a knot and wear it the way I did. This way, you won’t have to worry about tucking your shirt in every once in a while, you’ll get the desired fitting, a chance to flaunt your curves even in a dungaree, and another new look for your runway days. Carry a casual backpack and you’re good to go.

Look 4: The One with the Denim on Denim look
Denim on denim is one of my favourite trends and is very much in fashion now. It looks stylish if you carry it in the right manner. My last look therefore is about how you can rock the denim on denim trend even when you’re wearing dungaree.
In this look, I’m wearing my stripped crop top, a full sleeves denim jacket and truffle collection flats with the same dungaree. For accessories, I’m wearing a beaded tattoo choker, my black round glasses, wired headband around my bun, Timex watch and carrying the same black Dressberry backpack.
If you do not want to wear a jacket made from the denim material, you are free to go for the ones that look exactly like denim but aren’t made from the same fabric. They are the best choice for summer if you want to wear denim without feeling suffocated in your outfit in summers because comfort comes first. Do not go around wearing something in which you aren’t comfortable because that way, you’ll end up feeling conscious about your outfit and the confidence just won’t come.
