My Choker Collection on Instagram

“The true work of improving things is in the little achievements of the day, and that’s what you need to enjoy.”

Hey, lovelies!

I’ve come up with this new choker collection on my Instagram store. For those of you who do not follow me on Instagram, @SimplyGorgeous002 is my e-store on Instagram where I sell accessories that are both trending and affordable.

Following are few of the pictures from my new choker collection. I absolutely love this new trend of chokers and selling chokers is how I started my small scale business and earned money to buy a camera and start my own blog. So, yes not only am I thankful to this trend but I’m also obsessed with them. The best thing about chokers is that they are the kind of accessory that you can wear every day from college to special events. Other than the fact that they are not at all expensive, they are also available in so many colors and designs that you don’t even have to worry about the variety.

If you like any of these chokers, you can order them via Instagram. The chokers are only around 100 INR.

I took these pictures from my mobile’s front camera and while taking them, I had absolutely no intention of writing an article about this new collection. However, the pictures came out so good that I couldn’t help sharing them with you guys.

Anyway, I hope you like them and the collection. Do share the pictures with me if you order any of these pieces. I’d love to see how you style these chokers.

With lots of love,

8 Ways To Wear A Dress In Winter

8 Ways To Wear A Dress In Winter

“People will stare. Make it worth their while.”

Dear all,

I wish you a very Happy New Year! I hope all of you are having a great time. From the past one month, I have been posting on my Instagram profile about something interesting that I have been working on for my blog. This is the article I have been going nuts about. I know it is difficult to come up with a lot of outfit ideas everyday in winters and we all miss wearing our short dresses and skirts when this season comes. That’s where the inspiration to do this blog post came from. I have hardly worn this dress in summer and before I knew it, winter was here and I was wondering if I will have to wait for months to wear it again. So I styled these 8 ways to wear this summer dress in winter so that I didn’t have to wait for months to look my fabulous self. Let’s see how I styled my dress in 8 ways:

1: Wearing the dress over a crop top

If you follow fashion trends, you must know about the trend of those slip dresses that are worn over tees that are so much in vogue now. For those of you who don’t wish to spend a lot of money on such dresses, this DIY should do. You can wear your black or stripped summer dress over a plain white crop top and Voila! You have a stylish outfit ready for you! I have paired the dress with black socks in all the looks. You can either wear thigh high stockings, fish net stocking, plain black stocking, woolen stocking or leg warmers with boots if you like. There are a lot of options available to you!

  • White Crop Top (Forever 21)
  • Thin Black Velvet choker from my collection on Spoyl App (Account: Sale Sale Sale)
  • Vintage Turkish Rings (Instagram Account)
  • Black Thigh High Stockings (Amazon.in)
  • Black ling Bag (Bought for Rs 250 from Karol Bagh, Delhi)
  • Heeled Oxford Shoes by Knotty Derby (Jabong)

2. Wearing a warm sweater over the dress

This is the most common way to wear your dress during the winter season. A warm sweater, plain black stockings, a cute sling bag and your oxidized silver accessories is all you need to put together when you want to look fab.

3: Wearing a plain blazer with the dress

Ditch your sweatshirt for this classy black blazer and pair it up with your dress. A blazer with padded shoulder is the best kind of blazer that you must have in your winter collection. This is something that you can even wear to your office and to any outing. I have paired up with dress with a black belt to give more shape to the outfit. Don’t forget to carry your “something blue” like I did to add color to your outfit and look sassy!

4: Wearing the dress with a light sweater & blazer both

Another way to look chic while staying warm; wear a light sweater under the blazer. I decided to wear a red colored sweater because that adds more color to the entire outfit which otherwise would have looked very dull. Try adding more colors to your winter wardrobe other than just black, white and grey.

5: Wearing the dress with a jacket & waist belt

Wear your summer dress with a nice jacket and a waist belt over it to give shape to the outfit. Other than this, you always have the option to accessorize the outfit whichever way you want. I wore a thick black velvet choker with my dress.

6: Layering the dress with two jackets

Another way to wear your dress is by layering. You can pair your dress up with a plain jacket and a leather jacket, both! Why go for one when you can wear both, right?

7: Adding a little color to your outfit

Instead of going for a plain simple black/white jacket, you can go for something bright that catches people’s eye. A yellow colored sweater would be a great choice for that. I am also carrying a tribal print backpack with this outfit. These kind of faux leather backpacks are trending a lot and look very chic when worn with a dress. You can wear a belt under the sweater and tuck the sweater in as well. That’s what I did in this outfit as well. A messy bun is a perfect hairstyle for this kind of back-to-school outfit.

8: Wearing the dress with a shrug & bohemian accessories

Last but not the least is to wear your dress with a shrug, a waist belt and few bohemian accessories. I wore a grey shrug that I bought from Sarojini Nagar but you can wear it with a more colorful shrug and of course, the chic oxidized silver accessories.

All To Gloat About Culottes: Look 2

Hello, girls!

So in my last article, I talked about the new trend of culottes and how you can pair them up to get a casual or formal look. In this article, I’m going to talk about pairing your culottes to make an outfit that is suitable for parties or any special occasion.

If you haven’t heard about bell sleeve tops yet, then I guess it’s time you do. Bell sleeve tops have been trending like anything these days and they not only look attractive but really classy. You can wear them as casual or party wear, depending on the print and design of the top. The one that I have chosen to wear in this outfit is from Koovs. It’s a plain pink bell sleeve crop top that has a V-neck and an elastic at the end.

I paired up my bell sleeves top with a fuchsia pink thin velvet choker and these really cute Dior inspired earrings that many celebrities have been wearing lately. A lot of Dior inspired accessories are trending nowadays like Dior inspired sunglasses in rose gold and silver, Dior inspired aviators that Kangna wore in Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Dior inspired danglers, stud earrings and a lot more. So if you’re thinking you saw some girl in the metro wearing some really unique and pretty piece of accessory and don’t know what to call it, you can try searching for Dior inspired accessories and you might just find it online. 😛  (You can also order the same from this website called Zylph).

Coming back to my look, I kept the look really simple and didn’t accessorize much because I didn’t want the accessories to take away all the attention from my overall outfit. This is one tip that you should follow when you’re dressing up for some occasion. Don’t forget to accessorize but while accessorizing, make sue that your accessories don’t take away all the attention that your outfit needs.

Also, I didn’t wear any heavy neck piece with this top because then, the V neck would have been covered and it would have looked like too much. Therefore, I decided to go with this plain choker. So, let’s see how the outfit is looking.
